I’m 69 and I feel as though the next 10 years of my life have been irrevocably changed. There will be no looking aside or pretending all is well. And I’ll be in good company. Half of
Americans are aghast at this juncture. We may have been defeated, but we’re not dead!
not yet. Recall, Trump has promised to vanquish his enemies, the main question being how far down the list of importance he will go. Prosecutors and non-maga republicans will be the first to go on his target list. The question is how far down the list he will be allowed to go.
While I support immigration, I have to wonder why all the incoming, from Cuba, Central America, South America, and Arab countries, so grateful for getting out of their own dictatorships, and anxious for American Freedom, voted to elect a dictator here in America?
Can someone explain? On the surface, it appears they were in the minority in their own country, and suffered because of it. So they emigrated here and joined in support of a dictator more to their liking?
How exactly is it a "free and fair" election when the two major parties weren't even on a level playing field nor were they playing by the same rules? How is it that the former President's behavior was tolerated, normalized & encouraged with the help of the Supreme Court? How did Elon Musk jump in at the end with endless money and his very own platform to continually spew lies to potential voters without any governmental intervention against the deceptive and unfair practices? Is this how we want to be viewed by the world? Project 2025 was leaked, but you can bet those voters weren't even aware of its existence. And voted without knowing and understanding exactly what they were even voting for, much less that it wasn't in their best interests to do so. That's fair? I'm ashamed of our country right now. We're handing our democracy to those who will destroy it. Where's our backbone, where's our patriotism, the patriotism my parents' generation showed in WWII and were willing to fight and die for? I'm glad the majority of them are no longer here to see this debacle on our own soil. The only thing I feel was "fair" was the process of counting the votes by my fellow citizens who have good intentions. Maybe I shouldn't even be sure of that now.

I hope the old adage "the living will envy the dead" won't apply as they wreak havoc on us and our fellow humankind.
Every vote should count .. are you sure that musk did not buy the electoral college vote .. you know he was paying people to register and to vote ..

Do not obey in advance! Do
not step back but move
forward! Freedom and
democracy are worth it,
as many are going to
discover.
The imminent future of this
election and what will happen
here, could be the lesson
so many in our country need
to learn. That may possibly
be the turning point for our
society.
I can’t be at Nov 7 discussion. Will it be available to watch or hear later?
I have such a hopeless feeling right now, I can't shake it. I feel betrayed by the American people.
